Web 2.0 is _________ (2.0)

Hey all, this is a follow-up post to my original post Web 2.0 is _________. These links were given to my mom when she sent around the Web 2.0 video which was the subject of that post.

Here is an interesting post by Chris Melissinos, Chief Gaming Officer of Sun Microsystems, Inc. It’s a very nice summary of current geek thinking on Web 2.0.

Here is a post by Alper from Stockholm which gives a nice written summary of the difference between the Webs 1.0 and 2.0 (or as they are properly know, the Internets).The first article looks pretty encyclopedic about the history of the internet/web and the future but this one also gives a snappy summary of Webs 1.0, 2.0 and the Semantic Web (Web 3.0). I really like the bullet points in the final 1/3 as they give a good image of how to compare different stages of the web’s mutative evolution.

Anyhoo, Web 2.0, whatever it means, is cool.
